“Fall for the Arts” festival on Cape Cod

The Fall for the Arts festival has been expanded this year to be a month long celebration that was designed to highlight the region’s art and culture. The festival will kick off on October 1 with many free concerts and will allow locals and visitors the opportunity to meet and talk with local artists. The festival will also encourage everyone to discover the cultural organizations and museums that really distinguishes Cape Cod as a cultural center.

As innkeepers, we love to visit art galleries and to visit with guests about some of their favorite finds. We have become very fond of a local artist in Brewster, Karen North Wells and display many of her originals and reproductions of her work at our Captain Freeman Inn.

We also have on display at Brewster by the Sea some nautical work by Peter Richenburg

We have found that fall is the perfect time to visit all of the art galleries and the convenient maps provided by the Arts and Artisans Guide trails make it a fun adventure. Our favorite galleries include Tree’s Place and Addison Art Gallery in Orleans. All of the month long events are outlined conveniently in the Cape Cod Times cultural guide called Cape Cod Week.

” Fall for the Arts”…what a perfect name to embrace all that the Cape has to offer in this beautiful fall season!
