Easter fun at the Captain Freeman Inn

This past January we took a new life plunge and purchased a second inn named the Captain Freeman Inn . It’s a lovely 11 room inn in the center of Brewster. The new inn will be a sister property to Brewster by the Sea inn and Spa and we expect that both will be in the top 10 inns on Cape Cod within two years.

We have spent the last three months renovating the inside of CFI and have now moved outside to restore the beautiful wrap around porch and gardens to their original grandeur. Our family came together this Easter holiday and it is appropriate that we gather together as family to bless this new venture. We are all about tradition, so our daughter April and her boyfriend Matt planned the traditional Easter egg hunt which was hidden all around the Captain Freeman Inn. This years prize for the family member that found the most eggs was a huge chocolate bunny along with a large jar of peanut butter to dunk the chocolate in. After all, chocolate and peanut butter belong together.

After the hunt our son Nathan and Matt strung the wires to hang our new flag, and we all posed by the flag pole for a family shot. There was something so symbolic when we raised the flag and it waved so proudly in the sea breezes on this special Easter Sunday.

We consider ourselves the proud new stewards of the Captain Freeman Inn and we look forward to bringing her back to the original grandeur Captain Freeman envisioned when he built this mansion in the late 1800’s.

We send our prayers for peace and happiness to all the world and hope that you find happiness in your life’s work as we do.
