Geo-caching is an entertaining hobby for owners of handheld GPS (Global positioning System) units who like to use technology and enjoy the outdoors, and now is also a great excuse to visit a beautiful inn on Cape Cod.

Individuals and / or organizations hide "caches" and share the location of these caches on the internet. Geocachers use the published GPS coordinates to find the caches and often keep logs of their successes. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure", usually toys or trinkets of little monetary value. Once found, the finder records the date and time of the find in the logbook.

This fun adventure take place on the 5th of May at the Heritage Museum and Garden in Sandwich. A one hour" introduction to geo-caching" workshop will kick off the event in the historic Round Barn, followed by skilled practice session utilizing the lovely grounds of the museum. Spend the rest of your day exploring other parts of the Cape and finding new geo-caches.

Weekend includes a two night stay, workshop morning at the Heritage Gardens, gourmet breakfasts each morning, turndown service with truffles, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, and dinner for two at our favorite Northern Italian restaurant.
